肉の日: Update
I was so frustrated I didn't bother to follow up on this story...
Well? After standing in line for close to an hour (15 minutes before they opened +
40 more minutes of inching forward) I finally got up to the meat counter only to be told that they didn't have any big slabs of meat. Since so many people come on the 29th they slice everything up. And (unless there is a discount at the register) I only saw a few 20% off stickers on packaged meat on the shelves. I was so angry I left my basket, walked out and drove to
Big Fuji.
In-and-out in 5 minutes with exactly the two chunks of meat I wanted.
