Friday morning I took a group of students to the Hawaii Nature Center for hiking and nature study.





After the hike we were taught how to take care of a taro field



And the stream that provides water to it



by the students of the local Hawaiian language school who learn traditional farming methods in the valley.

It was a great experience.
